A few days ago I came across this particular bug.
It is a large tobacco brown dock bug which can be recognized by the almost rounded abdomen and the uniformly colored and broadly rounded shoulders at the front. At the front of the head there are two thorns between the antennae with the points almost touching each other; these thorns are not found with any other border bug.
This species lives in forest edges and moist hay meadows as well as grassland with denser vegetation here and there, but also in city parks and road verges is the dock bug found, usually near water.
