I've been corresponding with a man from America for years and we also met in his hometown of Murfreesboro. Years ago.
He is, like me, a cat lover at heart. At the time I was with him in America, he had 2 more cats. I didn't have one at the time. I wanted to work abroad temporarily and then it's not convenient to have kittens. However, due to a traffic accident, I was no longer able to work abroad, so it was time for these wool in my house again.

Of course we are talking about our cats. At some point I told him that if I took cats again, I want to name one Sientje. Just because it's a nice Dutch name.

Back in the Netherlands, I had a kind of a tupperware party at a colleague of mine a week later. There 2 cats foamed through the living room, but especially the rooie stood out to me and was cheeky and his thick head slipped along the legs for a while with everyone. He didn't pay special attention to anyone. So an everyone's friend. And I love cats that are everyone's friend.

At the end of the evening I had a little conversation with my colleague and asked about the name of the cat, to which she said his name is Sientje. Yes, he. Little wrong name, but named after Rooie Sien, the movie.
I was quiet for a moment and told her very serious and, I really felt it had to be that way, that it was time to give Sientje a new home and I did with me.
Now she was quiet for a moment and she said:
“Marion, you don't mean that what you're saying right now. Coincidence wants us to get rid of the cats because of the dog.
“Well, that's arranged, I said. When can I bring them?'

Two days later I had both Sientje (a 'you know 'hangover) and his girlfriend Jopie in my house.

Who's looking out who right now?

Sien (de rooie) turned 19 years and I was allowed to experience 11 more of it.
Unfortunately, Jopie only turned 8 and I've had her under my wing for 2 years.
