Creative with chalk: the city.
This is a very easy, creative assignment for children with a guaranteed beautiful result.
They were so excited about this that they tried again at home.
Needed:
- coloured chalk
- black paper
- drawing paper to cut out templates
- a pencil, lath and scissors
- some newsprint to cover the table
Step 1: Draw simple silhouettes of buildings on the ordinary drawing paper.
Consider: an ordinary rectangle (apartment building), a pointed rectangle (church), a house with a triangular roof or a chimney, a staircase gable...
Vary some in shape and size.
Cut out the shapes.
