Fifty shades of green: the Rain Curlew
The raincurl is a bird, which was best known to me for the book: “a flight of raincurls” by Maarten't Hart.
So when we were in Iceland, I had no idea which bird I was dealing with.
We called the animal: crow beak. That's how we had Goudkeeltje, but I'll come back to that in a later blog.
Do you already have an idea which bird is Goldthroat?? -)

Particularly beautiful pictures, and on the videos, that bird doesn't seem to be human or camera shy at all.. And for those who can't properly perceive the vocal/call of a rainwhulp, hear it in the picture.

From behind the computer the sound of the bird is not to be heard for me, but it is a delightfully enthusiastic and fun blog.. What are you doing with photographing those animals?. Just like the owls in NL.
