Mosaic is a #kunstvorm where one creates a work of art consisting of several pieces, whether or not coloured #glas , #porselein - Yes. One can make it by means of a #sjabloon and then on, for example, an MDF plate, mirror, wood or you take it big by processing it into a #vloer or what I did myself in a #wand - Yes.
In Roman and Greek times, several mosaics were already created. You often saw them on floors in palaces and castles. You can buy the coloured stone per gauze pad or separately or you can cut pieces from porcelain tiles yourself with a special mosaic cutter.

GAUDI

Personally, I like the large pieces of glass, porcelain and pottery. I think Gaudi's works are wonderful to see. #Gaudi was a famous architect and visual artist and his buildings can be found in Park Güell in #Barcelona - Yes. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to admire those works yet, but this is definitely on my list! By Gaudi, I let myself #inspireren and decided to make an art wall myself in my studio at the time. Without preparation, I started collecting all kinds of colorful glass objects, porcelain, pottery, but also loose items that I wanted to process in the wall. The collection alone was a voyage of discovery in itself, because I wanted certain colors to be in it and that they also regularly returned to the wall. So it had to be a good distribution. I went through different cycles and that was exciting every time what you came across. When you get home, you have to smash everything. I did that with a hammer and a towel and, of course, goggles. Then separate all the colors and materials and puzzle!

As you can see, I started building the wall.I used #siliconenkit to fix the pieces #lijmen - Yes.
I also indicated earlier that I wanted to have loose items in the wall.
Below you can see a few pictures with the #voorwerpen - Yes. These were Moroccan slippers, dolls, a religious print, suns, vase with poppies, teapons, tea cup and dish with biscuits. In short, a lot of imagination!

In total, about 7000 pieces of glass, porcelain, earthenware went into the wall. “It was a megajob and monk work"was often said to me by family, friends and acquaintances. It was, but for me a very nice #project and process to go through.

THIS IS THE END RESULT
