Last November during the #yoorsnovember challenge I told you in a video that my favorite room in the house was my music room. I told you that I had just started playing piano again and there was a piece of music When Summer Is Over van Hens Vlam Verwaaijen, which I was practicing. It was a piece of music I hadn't played for at least 13 years. The last time I played it was in piano store de Graaf in Zwolle when I bought my piano there and wanted to feel what it sounded. My piano teacher worked there too and full of fun we enjoyed all the pianos I was testing within my budget and I never thought I would not play this piece after that purchase, but it was true. The piano was purchased but playing remained limited. Until last November, where I started playing again and there was a deep desire to get back to the level where I left thirteen years ago. I've been practicing for a while now and haven't been there yet, but I've come a bit further with this song and I want to show you and hear that in this video.
This is how I practice this song in small pieces every day and then repeating from the beginning and then a little bit. So the song you're going to see and hear isn't complete yet, but I want to show you what I've practiced so far. It's a beautiful song that has dynamic, romantic, in short, when I play it, I go all the way into it.
