Historical novels, some biographies and autobiographies are among my favourites. Also fiction and poetry. When I was younger (looong time ago haha), I literally devoured detective fiction (I read all the books from Agatha Christie and think she remains one of the most successful authors in the field, but I also like other authors, like the Nordic, for instance). At present I'm discovering the pleasure of mithological novels and some classical books. Like you, some times I also leave the book unfinished. I don't think this is too problematic, it means you were reading a book that didn't suit you nor help you in any way. Well, I guess part of the reading is a self-discovery journey...I enjoyed reading your text and having the opportunity to also share my thoughts on this issue!
@Teresa Seia Great to hear from you. I haven't read books of agatha christie but vaguely remember a book. Something related to holmes and christmas and it was bright red cover. Maybe i tried to start it. Mythological books are fun too. Do you write?
@Just read(en) Great to hear from you too. You have a clever approach to expanding your skills in areas of interest to you, by selecting the types of books you read. As far as concerns your question about my writing, so far it consists of posting here on Yoors😉
@Paula Martins Did harry potter still intrigued you? It is a little childish series you know and i was maybe 16 or 17. But a great first series to start my reading habit.
@Just read(en) i just loved reading it. it´s not so much a question of being intrigued, its a question of imagination. i adore the power of imagination! seeing what she(jkrollings) could come up, virtualy out of nothing!... out of hear head, of course. the delirious world she could built

@casapapusilor wow great to hear. I haven't read Millennium. Right now fantasy series are not included in my reading list. Great to hear about your reading habits. It was nice to talknto you. Write some blog in similar hashtag i will give it a read. If you have any drop the link.
I read a lot, mostly thrillers and books that make you smarter :-) (investing, good food, health, knowledge and wisdom from people who were wiser than me...)
I also like to read, but I don't always find the time for it. My favourite are autobiographies, I love learning about interesting people's lives, who they were, who they became, how they become a certain way.... I also enjoy reading about King Henry the 8th and all his wives.
True stories, true crime stories, unsolved mysteries. But sometimes I will just read a normal book with a sweet story line and just enjoy that instead of having to think too much about it.
My daughters have read the Harry Potter series over and over again. My youngest especially always has a book with her.
