This is a route of about 104 km and if you do not make stops, you will be back in 2 hours and 22 minutes. But the practice is different, because you also want to see something along the way but also a snack and a drink go in. Did drive this route a few times before it was completely finished. The first time I drove the route I was together with a motorbike buddy. After we have refueled the tank with us drove from the village and came by Erm to Sleen. Both #dorpen have still beautiful authentic #boerderijen most of which have been rebuilt and now have a function as a Bed and Breakfast. In Sleen there are also a few farms converted as #caf é/restaurant. We take a beautiful country road and arrive in small village Benneveld and a little later in Zweeloo which is similar to Sleen as a village. From Zweeloo we drive under the N381 also called the #Friesland route is called. Via a very nice long bend where almost every motorcyclist opens the gas for a while to go through the bend, and then the gas goes off again and we drive into Wezup. In Wezup you have to make a strange turn to the left and you go over a pendulum road to the #museumdorp Orvelte.

Orvelte is a nice museum village here you will find a piece of old #Drenthe . We drive along the edge of the museum village, here you can still recognize old traces of the past. We drive to the orange canal built in 1853 and 1861 with a length of 48 km to unlock the peat areas. In 1923, the orange channel was used for a project as job creation and was widened and deepened. The canal has never been profitable and even now no boats can sail.
