Spring walks: the first spring jitters
Finally. the rain has stopped and the wind has been lying down.
Although the traces of the havoc of recent weeks can still be seen everywhere in the form of fallen and snapped trees, it still feels like nature is shaking itself out of hibernation.
Almost everywhere where a row of trees is in the middle of the field, there are a few specimens on the ground.
Some are just snapped like match-wood.
For a few years now, the groundwater level has been very low in Belgium.
If you see the water surfaces now, I think it's still a bit up to level in the meantime.
