The Keepers of the earth
Onlangs kwam ik via een vriendin bij de documentaire 'Down to earth' terecht.
Ralf Winters en Renata Heinen lieten hun jachtige leven achter en reisden gedurende vijf jaar langs inheemse stammen.
Ze zochten contact met 'The Keepers of the earth'., oude, wijze mensen die het contact, de verbondenheid met de aarde en elkaar niet verloren zijn. They filmed their journey, their experiences and their conversations with those tribal elders, scattered across the continents.
Despite their spread over these continents and their isolation from the 'great world', their message is impressively unambiguous:
We need to reconnect with nature and with others. We create our own demise.

@Naturefreak Er zit wel wat wijsheid in, waar we wat kunnen van leren. Het is zo heel duidelijk : het contrast tussen het leven in onze steden en hun leven in die stammen.
I am going to add it to my watch later list. Would really like to hear what they have to say. Seeing as it's also used for education maybe I can even watch it with my kids.

@Mónica I think they have to be older than 10 to watch it. It's a lot of talking in foreign languages with English subtitles.
