We need to change our lives.
The climate tables don't talk about Polluter Pays, Bills, Clothing and Tourism.
These taboos remained unspoiled at the climate table.

Taboo 1: Polluter Pays
One hundred years after the term the polluter pays coins, it would be time to put it into practice. The most polluting industry, the industry, has got that whole polluter pay-idea off the table. The negotiators of the climate agreement argued for a long time about whether to pay taxes to finance the energy transition. When they didn't come out with the environmental organizations, they decided to investigate. This must show whether charges are indeed harmful to competitiveness, as the representatives of the major emitters stressed before the negotiations.Â

Consumers account for 27 percent of CO2 emissions. However, they pay half of the energy taxes. The industrial sector, on the other hand, causes 32% of CO2 emissions and only pays 13% of energy taxes. In agriculture and fisheries, too, the ratio of CO2 emissions and energy taxation is unequal, 6 per cent and 2%. Companies must pay a CO2 charge of €50 per tonne of carbon dioxide. 71 economists come up with that idea in the trade magazine ESB. because they fear that the current draft climate agreement does not meet the goals set.

Taboo 2: Flying and Tourism
CO2 Compensation. Is that true? When you fly, you pollute the environment. An aircraft emits CO2 (carbon dioxide) during flight, contributing to the greenhouse effect. There are a variety of companies that calculate and compensate for your trip's CO2 emissions. All you have to do is pull your wallet and you can fly with peace of mind. But is this true?? Â
