More and more are being bought online and there is nothing wrong with that.

But over the years I have learned a lot and already bumped my nose. Here are some advice for shopping online:

Does the webshop have the 'Thuiswinkelwaarborg '? In my experience, it is easier to get your right if you have purchased a defective device, the delivery has not expired properly or a payment dispute. The webshop does not want to lose its quality mark so after an email with Thuiswinkelwaarborg is e.e.a. usually so arranged! Sometimes I also bet on a webshop without quality marks, with a cheap product. Then I'll take the risk for granted. Chinese sites are not-done with me. There is often something wrong, especially qualitatively and furthermore it is also against my principles.

If possible, choose the option 'Afterpay'. Then you pay only after receiving service or goods. Sphere has eg. tend to send a payment request if you have not yet received your order. Do not panic and pay only after delivery!

Find reviews about the respective webshop and about the products or services you want to buy. Do not look at the reviews on the webshop itself because these are not entirely objective. Reviews are often first checked by the webshop itself and they find it too negative, it is simply not posted. Already been through a couple of times. Good alternatives include. Trustpilot, Google reviews, Beston.nl whether Kieskeurig.nl . And just go Google too.

Never buy shoes or skates, food supplements, a sofa set or other things you want to fit or test online unless you are sure you can use this product. So if you saw it in a store, tried it or took specialized advice, you can buy it fairly safely.

Check the size of the items, if necessary with a tape measure, so that the items in question are not too large or too small. On a screen, it's hard to judge!

Take a closer look at how long the expected delivery time is and choose a time to have it delivered when you are really at home. Delivery in the evening, for example, often costs only 1 euro extra and your neighbors will appreciate it.

Search for the warranty schemes, buy any warranty and see how long the trial period is. That can vary from 8 days to sometimes 30 days or as with my last order up to 60 days!

When unpacking; unpack everything carefully and keep everything together. Also keep the packaging materials and watch carefully how to wrap it. That saves you a lot of misery when it has to return!

Now I'm stopping again because I have to drop a return, haha. Note: When returning, there are often paid options but also free options to return the package. See what suits you best.

If I forgot something, please let me know!
