The vehicle is called? AutonomOS? It was made by the Mexican Raúl Rojas González and it is planned that in the future it will deliver a taxi with up to 10 times more driving capacity than a person.
From Arizona, United States, the car traveled 1500 kilometers to Mexico City.
The smart car or robot has 33 sensors between lasers, radars and nine video cameras to detect other cars, traffic lights, obstacles and pedestrians up to 200 meters away while driving through cities or roads. Thanks to the GPS location system, your geographic location is known.
The intelligence of? AutonomOS? It is distributed among several processors in the trunk that analyze the information and transfer the data to the main computer that follows the route to be followed, as well as the driving decisions, such as the right time to pass and choose the lane where it will be circulating.
A car developed by Raúl Rojas already drives the streets of Berlin, Germany alone, after obtaining his driving licence in 2011.
