My daughter loves animals, and for her 9th birthday, we threw her a party on a farm, in an actual barn with all her friends, all born and living in a big city.
They sat on bales of hay, fed farm animals with the help of the farm manager, who told them all about the animals. They played in the huge open fields, where there was no worry about traffic or danger. Went on a tractor ride to see the farm.
When they returned from the ride, this beautiful horse was waiting for them. This was my daughters reaction when she climbed on the horse. She wanted to hug the horse, because she was so happy... she had never been on one.
But the hug lingered a little longer, this beautiful horse stood there very still and allowed her to lay like that for sometime, before her riding lesson began.
While the kids were entertained with all that the farm had to offer, the parents relaxed under tall trees.
At the end of the party, nobody wanted to leave, not the kids, not the parents, because the day had felt like a peaceful get away.
