Well, then you're gonna whine, roar, whine and get up again.
And again whine and roar. And after three days, my mind came back. For what was left of it then. All kinds of scenarios had passed over those three days, including, of course, a Cochlear Implant. A what?? A CI.
Briefly through the bend. They drill a hole in your skull and implant electrodes into the cochlea and replace the broken nerve hairs there.
Now, thank God only on my right ear deaf. I can still hear noises somewhere.. vaguely... in the distance, somewhere.... My left side is doing its stinking best with 30% hearing to keep it fun, but that's also going in the wrong direction. I dare not think about it. Of course I do.
In a small 6 years time, still can hear with a 70% to 30%. And on the right from 30% to 0. And the four years before that, it went from 100 to....
Don't ask me why. No man knows. No doctor who can explain. Learn to live with it, they say.
Sure, man.. Cackle.
But anyway, I can't change it, of course.. Breathe and continue..
And how.... !!
Today I got new hearing aids to try. I'm a big fan of Phonak. Cost some, but then you also have some. They have put the Paradise on the market since last year. For the rich among us pay, because they fall outside any compensation of the health insurance. You guys can deposit money, by the way.... (I love giving my account number 😜)
My goodness, what a money.... 4000 euros for two of those boys.

But now I've been sitting with tears almost all afternoon. (And I'm stone-cold, while I'm always warm. And the cola/vodka tastes excellent by the way. 😳)
Then wrom?
Shall I tell you.
I'm so afraid I can't hear music anymore. I barely hear the music anymore and it makes me so sad. I've already had to give up theatre, my greatest love to go to, but at least let me keep my music a little. Even if only the vocals. The rest I think. But that too has become difficult.
And then this Phonak comes up with his Paradise, and I had to cry in the hearing care care care care care, because those little devices can stream YouTube for example. Suddenly I hear music. Vocals and instruments. (remember, for example, when you put on headphones, such a sound about)
I've been listening to my music list on YouTube all afternoon, even in the store (had to do errands) and there too I had to shed a tear or a lot of tears.. My dearest songs, straight into my brain. I even take that damn advertising that apparently has to impose itself after every song, for granted. (that doesn't take long of course, because it's really annoying)
Whether I can understand speech with these little devices will still have to be seen. I now have 3 days off (2, after today) and then I can try them at work. But it does not really fascinate me. I've got music again.

A CI?
Just waiting for the next few weeks to see what these devices can do for me. Can always. No hurry.

Now I have a question for you !!
I am now looking for a good mobile device with blue tooth, where I can put on and listen to my music. Preferably with MP3 capabilities. Lots of music to splash and enjoy... So I really don't know about it, because I had already given up the music.. 😔
