A border for Uncle Frits and Aunt Coby
Uncle Frits is, it is known to everyone by now, very fond of nature. For almost all animals he has plenty of attention, it is a pleasure to see how the man can enjoy everything that lives, grows and blooms.
But even for Uncle Frits, there's a boundary that won't be crossed. In the case of flying animals, the limit lies with mosquitoes, and in the case of bugs that walk on land or stay in the water, the limit lies in rats. On these points, and this is a surprising fact, Uncle Frits and Aunt Coby are totally in agreement.
The proximity of a narrow moat in the residential area and the concerns about what swims around or can fly or crawl out make for an extraordinary alertness in and around the house. And that is not entirely unjustified...
