Every year, at the nursing parent care (from Ineke van der Linde ) Sinterklaas games played/pietengym. Normally there are Pieten to visit but this is unfortunately not possible this year because of the circumstances. A good reason to bet extra on fun and matching games for the kids.
With old board games you can often make good combinations for a Sinterklaas/Pieten game. Sometimes change the part into, for example, a fake present. You'll just have a new game. So a reason to dive into your games closet and let your imagination go.
The games are fun for home, in the daycare, school.. anywhere! Make it a cozy time and be inspired by these fun and practical ideas! Have fun.
Below you can see a fun peppernut shooting game. Used are these types of springboards from an existing game. On the board you see a nice Piet with Letters. Do you want to make the Piet and letters too? Then click on this tile:
You see a shuffleboard next door. It is festively dressed and there is being cheated with... chocolate coins!!
From old cardboard plates you sometimes make this memory. Check out the assortment in stores such as Sailor, Kruidvat etc.
The bottle here on the right is a cleaned detergent bottle. Here is a nice piece of wrapping paper stuck on it and with this bottle you move air.. so also peppernuts. When you start playing the game, stick tape to the floor in a zigzag pattern. Take a look at the video below!
On the left you see a game where you normally try to throw on a number with dics. With packages it suddenly becomes a super fun Sinterklaas game!
The game on the right you make a Sinterklaas cardboard cup and a clipped balloon. You take out the bottom of the cup. The balloon serves as a shooting mechanism to shoot away peppernuts!
Grab a card from the pile and do whatever Piet does. This is real for toddlers. Stick a Pietje in a certain position on one side and paste it on the back with wrapping paper!
Cut out wrapping paper figurines serve to make a Sinterklaas memory that you can see further below.
Below is a thin sheet of wood /cardboard used to make a memory game. On it, the spared diaper wipes tops are glued. One of the wrapping paper figurines is inserted into each box. And now look for the same 2 pictures!
The inside is a kind of trampoline. The ring is a handle. Normally “tennis” you take a soft ball towards each other. And from you the ball with it. Now you can do this with peppernuts (think of a 7yrg boy just) or do it with packs like in the picture. You throw the gift at each other and try to catch it and tap it back.
Additional movement cards for e.g. Pietengym!
Creative inspiration for Saint Nicholas!
