Editing Halloween characters with decopatch
Have you ever made something by means of decopatch or decoupage? (napkin technique) You can cover all kinds of shapes with super cute pieces of paper. I showed this before in my blog about a Dino decopatchen.
But this time we're going to start the cool Halloween decoration! We have here 6 Halloween figures of which 2 are always equal. I'm going to cover this with matching decopatch paper. Given the kind of work you do here, it's especially suitable for the older kids. Younger children can paint these figures, colors etc. There are also holes in them so that you can also put a thread in it.. so handy!
For each figure, tear decopatch paper into smaller pieces. With special decopatch glue and a brush you glue in the substrate. Then grab some glue on your brush and grab the top of a piece of paper. Apply this to your Halloween object. Corners, openings and the like are a bit trickier. Sometimes a little help by folding the paper where necessary. I've been pasting the eyes with the ghost. I looked it up later by poking it with a pin. Bit with a round object and the opening is back!
After you have pasted everything, put a thin layer on top. That works off the small pieces that are no up and it gives a nice shine!
I have for hanging a nice stick with hanging eyelets. Here I can hang the figures that I have provided with a thread. Hang battery lights in it and you have your own festive Halloween decoration!
