Some of you have been to Portugal and may have eaten these before. These are one of my absolute favourite things to eat. The crust flakes in your mouth and the filling melts in your mouth.
There are hundreds of recipes on the internet and many coffee shops that make their own to sell, but let me tell you a little secret, most of them don't come close to the real deal or the ones you get in Portugal and probably never will considering the original recipe is a secret.

The history behind them is also quite interesting and you can read about it on the following link.

Have you ever had one? What special food item from your country would you advice people to try?
