The second part about the City of Groningen, the first part can be read here.

At some point I had to pick someone up at V&D, when they still existed of course. Navigation systems were not there yet. With an explanation in advance how exactly to drive, I went on the road. At some point, I drove somewhere wrong, and you really don't get out of her.. Where you think you're going, you're not allowed in. hopelessly. Luckily, I saw a police car standing. Usually I don't like it, but this time I do. I park the car behind it, get out and knock against the cop's window on the driver's side. I kindly tell him where to go but I can't get out. “I can imagine that very well,” he said laughing. “If you drive down that street, you get out near V&D”. “Yes, but that's one way, I can't go in there”, I continue. “From me you may”.
Fortunately, there are also friendly and helpful agents, even in a big, busy city. With this still Thank you very much!

Another adventure in that city, with the above lesson in mind, was to put my car in a parking garage. “City South, “I'll never forget. That was easy to find and then walking the desired place is easier to find. That was the thought. With my ADD and sense of direction etc. I paid extra attention to where I parked the car. Ok, deck 3 and parking D5 (for example). All right, I went out to return to the parking garage a few hours later. Yes, it must be here; “City South “is on the signpost. I walk up to Deck 3. “Well, I don't see him yet...”. Anyway, I was sure he should be on this deck and I'm walking towards D5. But when I was supposed to be able to see it, all I saw was empty boxes. My heart made a jump but not happiness. Against better knowledge in still a few meters walk to D5. “Yes, I can stand here and watch, but it's just not there.?!”

Then I walk to the door/guard or whatever the function of the best man is called. I press the bell, the gentleman comes out and I tell him that my car is gone. “Are you sure,” he asked. Yes, I say 100%, D5. “Did you know there's another parking garage next to this?” Well, then I could sink through the ground..

So far first my adventures in 'City'!
