I think this is a beautiful powerful portrait. Painted on the basis of a postcard that I also found somewhere.
Acrylic paints always work from the back to the front. So first the background, and then slowly work forward. You can first set up the surfaces very coarsely and apply the depth and details later. In those details, you can go as far as you want. A painting should always be viewed from a great distance. I sometimes lost myself in the details, but here you see in the painting that the face is actually quite coarse surfaces, yet it really is a 'beating' face.
