Oh Newspaper tree, Oh Newspaper, what are your colors wonderful! ๐ŸŽผ I saw you in the paper the other day, when there were no staples on it.

With a piece of newspaper, some watercolour or AquaTint and a stapler, you can easily create a colourful newspaper tree. You can attach strings to it and hang it in front of the window, hang it in a Christmas wreath or turn it into a Christmas garland. Nice low budget, yet original and festive. Draw your own tree on an A4, or use the free template below.

Print out the template and cut it out. Pull over the shape to a piece of 2 or 3 sheets of newspaper. Choose a piece from the newspaper that contains as much text as possible.

Cut out the shape with a small strip (e.g. 0.5cm) around it. Cut the star out of a number of leaves, that may be at best 6 petals

With the stapler not your staples in the edge, but leave a part open for a while to put pieces of paper in it.
