But 5 years ago I lived in Netherlands, Zoetermeer. I moved... Show moreNow I live in the Netherlands, Gouda. I'm very happy here: the city is quiet, sometimes a little bit too quiet, but it's a very nice city to live in in overall. Everything is also walking distance.
But 5 years ago I lived in Netherlands, Zoetermeer. I moved because a very helpful person helped me get out of the worst situation of my life (you know who this person is). I had no way out, and this helpful person did not hesitate one moment to help me. He had asked multiple times, but every time I was too coward to take the help. If this did not happen, I would've still been living like that and I would've been very unhappy.
Two years ago I moved to the South of Hungary. Close to the Croatian border, near town of Pécs. The hilly landscape and the mentality of the people appeals to me. I've been coming here for 11 years. Every school holiday I traveled. Short holidays by plane and longer holidays by car. The ability to travel often decided that I bought a cottage. The discovery of many beautiful trips and surroundings gave me the opportunity to rent the cottage also. During a sabbatical of 4.5 months I bought a farm, at home in the Netherlands I sold the house in 3 months. Now after two years of living I've never regretted. Nature, population, space, tranquility, new discoveries have drastically enriched my life.
In the Netherlands I lived in Helden-Panningen, Weesp and Reuver. All beautiful places. But I don't think I'll ever go back to Holland..
The re... Show more A nice question, so we also find out where the Yoorsies come from 😊 I live in a village in the hills in the south of Hungary near the town of Bonyhad. 5 years ago I lived in the Netherlands, near Roermond. About two years ago, I emigrated.
The reason for emigration was that I like to live in a natural environment and enjoy a more self-sufficient life. So boss over own life. In the Netherlands, such a lifestyle for me is priceless or not even possible at all. A pleasant side effect is also the pleasant climate here. I wrote a blog about this earlier. https://yoo.rs/3dd06329f837887a4a0b2e431cc82049/blog/vrijheid-vrijheid-door-te-wisselen-van-woonstek-1577214369.html?Ysid=149850
Vrijheid door te wisselen van woonstek
5 years ago I lived in Sint truiden, Belgium. Also known for his football team STVV 😁
The city where I am in Colombia is pretty rainy, and it's something I like very much, I enjoy seeing the rain fall and that better when you go to sleep and it's raining. In that regard I like it quite.
When we went to see Debbie for a house in Nesselande I thought wow.... what a neighborhood, beach at the doorstep a boulevard, cozy shops, really a holiday resort. Well and now we have been living there for 10 years with great pleasure. Our first home so that was just as exciting. But never regretted, we have a great time here.
Quiet, warm and full of very active people on a daily basis, I am just minutes from the “Great Bridge Over the Lake” which has a beautiful view.
Although I like where I live, I've always found it interesting to live some time somewhere like Japan.
when i started to work, i went to work and live in a village that exists not really far from Lisbon, sixty and two kilometres apart.
And now I don´t work anymore. So I came back to Lisbon, to the same house, the house that was my parents.
Even when I lived in that village, my heart had stayed in Lisbon. I love this city, I love my house, I love being near my family. As for the friends, I had friends there, also, but I have more friends here.
Before that, I lived for ten years in the village of Dalfsen on the other side of the municipality of Dalfsen. To be honest, I had high expectations that I would enjoy the living place, but that was very disappointing and I had a terrible feeling of homesickness.. I couldn't ground there. Here in Nieuwleusen. Reason for moving, more green, more space and more peace. And that's what we found. Previously I lived in Zwolle, Deventer, Kleindijk, Emmen and am quite often moves actually. The desire is to buy another nice place in Zeeland. That's what we're going for, for that dream.
Van Emneloord, Breda, Kampen, Amersfoort, Ermelo and back after Amersfoort, Hoogland is the village against .Well, the pleasure of big city nearby but not the hustle and bustle. My father was a representative, hence more often housed by the country
Before that we lived in Belgium where I always lived and just before I met my dearest Anneliesje I was a caretaker for my grandfather (den Bompa) and I took our first sweet furry daughter (Princess Milla) under my wing.. She was just a year old and meanwhile she is almost 8:) and is now just joined by her new furry sister Nailah now just 1 year:)
We moved because we have the same dream, namely self-sufficient living and especially in a quiet natural environment. Now, five years later, we planted 20 fruit trees and we started a small business. We are married in our beautiful garden, that is two years ago this year.
I also lived in Germany for twelve years (from my 18th - 30th) and worked there in the healthcare sector. To Germany I would not want to go back, but it is my/our dream to be in the (near?) future in a warmer climate to live. Hungary is a beautiful country and we feel at home here, but it can get really cold in winter and then it's hard to be 100% self-sufficient. But for now we're still enjoying our Hungarian home!
