We can learn a lot, a lot from our past. Strangely enough, we do that very little. Why else should the saying: l'histoire se répète be so clear to exist? (history repeats itself).
Sometimes I wonder, why do we call the developments in technology, in what we all know and know, progress? What did it bring us? Where have we actually gone forward?
Yes, of course we know more, we can do more. But is it? Aren't we just moved from our feelings to our thinking? Is knowledge the highest possible? Or luck?
Then the question arises: Are we happier now? or, in which does that happiness express itself? Have we, in short, gone forward?
Do you ever think to yourself, I would have loved to live in another time? Then ask yourself the question: what role would you have played in that time and is that realistic based on your current position? If so, what time is/was there better?
