It's a calm place, they said...
It was our last day in Portugal.
We delivered the car back at the airport, but our flight was in the evening.
So we decided to walk to Praia de Faro.
We had been there before and normally it's very quiet, with beaches and birds at the national parc of Ria Formosa.
A perfect place to say goodbye to our holiday.

Haha, the motorcycles seem so quiet to me in the header photo, still and silent, waiting for their drivers to fetch them😉. Anyway, in spite of this undesirable ending of your holidays, your photos convey a happy, party mood!

@Teresa Seia It looked silent, but they kept coming, for hours and hours. Untill they were everywhere. But we did find a quiet place, far away from the bars ...

@marijke We hebben er wel het beste van gemaakt, hoor. Maar het eerste moment waren we wel teleurgesteld : knetterende uitlaten en benzinedampen in de plaats van natuurgeluiden en aanrollende golfjes.

@enigma I like the cover photo, I like to see all these bikes, I understand that, they made a lot of noise and caused a lot of traffic but the upside was that they were nice and colorful, sometimes a little confusion can be nice, we hope the bikers they behaved well, congratulations for the photos

@w.festuccia Thank you and yes, they behaved well. But we went to the end of the island to get away from all the noise. We came to enjoy nature, but had to walk a long way to see only that !

Crazy how things change. When we lived by the beach front, it was super quiet all week, we often had the beach all to our selves, but then arrives the weekend and we couldn't even turn into out place because of how much traffic there was and how everyone was waiting for a parking.

@Mónica It's true... we are never going to the beach in weekends, during Summer. Not even in Belgium.

@Encaustichris Ja, wel... We waren 2 dagen vooraf nog de plekjes gaan verkennen, omdat we wisten dat we alles te voet gingen moeten doen vanaf de luchthaven. Leek ons ideaal om af te sluiten... Veel alternatieven waren er dus niet.
