Objectoons day 1 - Scissors - Drawing Woodpeckers
Objectoons woodpeckers

Then @ellesvandenbroek last week with this Objectoons Challenge I was immediately excited when I saw her cheerful example drawings. I love cartoons, fun and simple. Well it is certainly not simple in terms of execution, but by simple I mean that sometimes you can only put something down as a story with a few lines. For the first day we need scissors. I went looking for scissors in the house. We have a lot of them in the house, but they're always missing. But I found an old man, a little rusty in the pantry drawer. It's a pair of scissors you had in first aid kit. Then find some fineliners and paper, lots of paper to practice, because drawing, I never do. But how fun is it when we are challenged to do that. The anticipation is already fun. And there you're sitting at the dining table and there's scissors on your white sheet of drawing paper. What's it become? Very simple, at least. When I looked at that white sheet of paper with those scissors, I suddenly saw on the scissors a model of a woodpecker's head through that crest of metal on the right, and the idea was born, two woodpeckers who carved on the tree trunk.
